The article focuses on the importance of removing obstacles to parallel imports which has traditionally been the primary activity conducted by the EU authorities in the pharmaceutical sector. It is worth considering whether the same approach should be taken by the Ukrainian Anti-Monopoly Committee to deal with the matter and ease market conditions in the light of a recent investigation that was aimed at appraising the performance of the pharmaceutical market of Ukraine. Similar competition law concerns may arise in other sectors as well.
